ну пощёлкал меню но пиконы в списке каналов не нашёл.на энигме понятно в интер. пользователя включил отображение пиконов в списке каналов.

ser11962, нажмите menu-2-7-2 или menu- настройки-настройка экранного меню-инфопанель, если у вас другое расположение пунктов меню

Тогда проверяйте с ПЕРВОГО поста раздел Пиконы

в верхнем правом углу должен быть пикон выбраного канала. рядом с каналами в списке пиконов не должно быть. это не Enigma2

После установки USB-modem, модем не воткнут, заметил дакой глюк-не воспроизводит видеофайлы mkv, т.е. воспроизведит картинку на первый кадр и стопорит, перезагрузка на 2-3 раз помогает, такое ощущение,что ресурсов не хватает......

Сомневаюсь, что это как то связано с установкой пакета для модема. Если вы не подключаете модем - в системе вообще ничего не происходит, и указанный пакет никак не задействуется, пока не будет подключен модем.
Но вобще не мешало бы логи посмотреть...
логи через rs-232
или хотя бы dmesg - сильно облегчат поиск проблемы.

По поводу нехватки ресурсов - вполне может быть... Хотя это никак и не связано с модемом - однако если не задействован swap - очень рекомендую его активировать.

Попробуйте подключить swap. Воспроизведение видео (особенно с большим битрейтом) - жрет ресурсы очень и очень жадно. Многое зависит от кодека, которым пожато видео..
В любом случае - подключите swap - хуже не будет однозначно.
И можно также помониторить командой top в телнете - загрузку системных ресурсов в момент воспроизведения тяжелых видеофайлов.
