Покажи так
/etc/ppp/usb_modeswitch -I -W -c /etc/ppp/switch/12d1:155b

Настройки файла должны быть такие
DefaultVendor=  0x12d1
DefaultProduct= 0x155b
TargetVendor=   0x12d1
TargetProduct=  0x1506
MessageContent="55534243000000000000000000000011060000000100000000000000000000"

/etc/ppp/modemdial start

linky пересобрал плагин
можно просто выполнить /etc/ppp/Start
а лог выполнения команды будет в /tmp/log
Нет это не для этого!!!
Плагин можно запускать из МЕНЮ ПЛАГИН Modemdial так же можно и остановить из МЕНЮ
При старте Modemdial будет в папке /tmp/log (это все для тех кому лень телнет запускать)
Как и ранее из телнет команда на старт
/etc/ppp/modemdial start
Команда на стоп
/etc/ppp/modemdial stop
У меня подозрение что нужно usb_modeswitch обновлять надеюсь
Josh что нибудь подскажет.

У меня в папке usb_modeswitch.d файлы имеют имя вот такое 12d1_155b, а в папке switch вот такое 12d1:155b ????

Перегрузи рес выруби Modemdial из меню плагина modemdial start не выполняй
На перегруженном ресе выполни только
/etc/ppp/usb_modeswitch -I -W -c /etc/ppp/switch/12d1:155b

Что в нем покажи?
И еще dmesg | tail -n40 после выполнения команды выше

Сейчас задача научиться переключать твой модем, что бы появилось ttyUSB0 и т.п. в dmesg
Пока есть подозрение что то с драйверами, вечером пересобиру option.ko

Что то не могу понять, по логу переключалки, он говорит все уже переключено нечего переключать.
Точно в меню плагин все отключено?
Выдерни модем потом вруби покажи так
/etc/ppp/usb_modeswitch -W -c /etc/ppp/switch/12d1:155b
и потом опять выдерни и вруби
/etc/ppp/usb_modeswitch -I -W -c /etc/ppp/switch/12d1:155b

Это когда переключил модем в только модем вставил в рес и выполнил команды

Тут вот ещё про это
......Так же модем может определяться вовсе не как ttyUSB а как ttyU0, как было в моем случае. У меня ни в какую не определось устройство как ttyUSB чтобы я ни делал. Отрубал устройства в модеме посредством AT команд, устанавливал и по разному конфигурировал usb_modeswitch перечитал все форумы данной тематики, но результата не было. Тогда я попробывал в datacard.conf вместо ttyUSB прописать устройство ttyU0
В итоге все в таком виде заработало. Может это кому то поможет разобраться быстрее, у меня например ушло на все эксперименты около двух недель, так как во всех статьях написано что модем должен быть как ttyUSB и не находя такого девайса я считал что у меня что то криво встало или что я что то сделал не так, а оказалось вот как=) Удачи!

Ок.
Перегрузил рес.Он на Lan запустился, подхватил шару.
Вставил модем и выполнил команду ls /dev | grep ttyU

[root@stlinux]#ls /dev | grep ttyU
ttyUSB0
ttyUSB1
ttyUSB2
[root@stlinux]#

Попробуй так перегрузил, переключил в 1506
/etc/ppp/usb_modeswitch -I -W -c /etc/ppp/switch/12d1:155b
потом выполни
echo "12d1 1506" > /sys/bus/usb-serial/drivers/option1/new_id
и покажи
cat /proc/tty/driver/usbserial               
dmesg | tail -n40

Здесь пишут что порты не появляются но на E353
Хотя в драйверах есть 12d1:1506 Наверное какой то патч нужен для option
